Hey all.... Just wanted everyone to know that I still lurk the forums and wanted to say I am glad this community has grown the way it has. It seems to get more and more people all the time! Which comes to my next problem. The donations have run out :(, and this site is not really generating any revenue, so we have a few options. - If someone would like to purchas the site from me and contine on their own.
Maybe someone would be nice enough to start make'n donations again. I put adds on the site.
Please post me some feed back and let me know what you guys want to do.
Thanks again for stay'n loyal to The Firecracker Lounge

[Excerpt] "The findings, which were the results of separate studies conducted by NBC Universal's Digital Insights and Innovations team, and by online video service Veoh, show that online video access has already had a profound impact on the way people watch television. " "She said that 48% of users who went online to view a stream of an NBC Rewind watched at least one segment of "Heroes." The next most popular series was "Black Donnellys," which was viewed online by 25% of the users." I know this article is old (posted September 28, 2007 and not sure if everyone has read it already) but thought you all would enjoy that blurb above. [Source: http://geeksofdoom.com/2007/09/03/dvd-review-the-black-donnellys-the-complete-series/] Take the melodramatic relationships and good looks of Dawson’s Creek (don’t forget the soft indie rock that plays under everything for additional heartstring pulling), get the entire cast drunk on Jameson’s Irish Whisky, give them a thorough pub brawl beating by the members of The Pogues and Flogging Molly, and then dump them in a New York mob neighborhood and you’re getting somewhere close to what NBC’s single-season show was trying to come across as. |
